400% revenue growth as Ad Company eyes mobile video opportunity
15 July, 2010 - 08:48On the back of impressive growth for the first half of 2010, one of India's biggest online video advertising suppliers, Jivox, is turning its attention to what it sees as an increasing opportunities in mobile video.
Compared with the same period in 2009, Jivox grew revenues by 400% in Q210 as it added new advertisers and revenues from media companies. Jivox's products see use by over 40 media groups representing several thousand sites to offer online video ads to their clients, including eight of the top 50 media companies in the US.
The adoption of the Jivox platform usage at media companies has increased by two-fold over the last year. The company offers advertisers distribution to over 4,000 web sites, growing the reach of its network to 125 million unique monthly visitors and delivers campaigns for advertisers such as Warner Brothers and Sony Pictures Entertainment.
In terms of technology, Jivox launched in H110 new online video advertising delivery formats and also new and enhanced video ad player customisation options to provide advertisers with the ability to deliver messaging to end users while preserving brand identity or leverage the power of social media sharing. Jivox also launched its enhanced publisher portal to allow publishing partners to manage and traffic advertisers' campaigns across multiple interactive online ad formats via a single, web-based interface.
The company is now reportedly planning to raise $15 million to fuel its global expansion and launch new products among which are said to be mobile video and video content management solutions both of which are said to hold huge potential. Speaking to news sources in India, Jivox India's managing director, Naren Nachiappan, said, "mobile bandwidth in India should be good enough in a year's time to support video."
