MediaFLO mobile TV tees off for US Open
6 June, 2008 - 09:37MediaFLO USA, ESPN on ESPN Mobile TV and NBC Sports on NBC 2Go are to provide live video coverage of all four days of this year's U.S. Open golf championship at Torrey Pines on the FLO TV mobile TV service.
Available in the US to AT&T subscribers as AT&T Mobile TV with FLO and to Verizon Wireless customers as V CAST Mobile TV, the service is designed to let golf fans watch all the US Open action unfold live on their mobile phones.
ESPN and NBC Sports on NBC 2Go will provide MediaFLO USA with 30 hours of live coverage from the U.S. Open, teeing off with the first round on 12 June and wrapping up with the final round on 15 June.

In addition to the 2008 US Open, MediaFLO USA will continue to offer mobile TV viewers a range of other sports programming from CBS, ESPN, FOX and NBC Sports on NBC 2Go throughout 2008. Since launching the FLO TV service on V CAST Mobile TV with Verizon Wireless in March 2007, MediaFLO USA has delivered close to 3,000 hours of live sports coverage. MediaFLO USA say that it will also feature several ‘not-to-be-missed' sports events throughout the summer.
